On this page you can change some aspects of how the forum looks.
For instance, if you have a slow dial-up connection, you can change these settings,
to you reduce the amount of information sent to your browser.
Time Format: The format here will be used to show dates throughout this forum. |

Time Offset: Number of hours to +/- to make displayed time equal to your local time. |
This is a + or - number to add or subtract to the current time showing on RootsChat. The clock at RootsChat is set to the current time in the United Kingdom Example: RootsChat time shows 13:28, but your time is 14:28 (for example if you live on the continent). The Time Offset would be +1 |
[x] Show board descriptions inside boards. |

[x] Show child boards on every page inside boards, not just the first. |

[x] Use sidebar menus instead of dropdown menus when possible. |

[x] Don't show other users' avatars. |
Apart from adding to the page load, some members find moving avatars can be upsetting. Using this setting, you can supress showing all avatars. |
[x] Don't show other users' signatures. |
Useful for reducing the amount of "signature space" on the page (More room for the topic replies !) |
[x] Return to topics after posting by default. |

[x] Don't warn on new replies made while posting. |
Suppresses the red warning message, that someone else has posted while you were composing your reply. |
[x] Show most recent posts at the top. |
Warning: When this is selected, due to a software fault the starting entry in a topic will have the number "Reply #1" instead of no number. |
[x] Show WYSIWYG editor on post page by default.. |

Use quick reply on topic display: |
With Quick-Reply you can write a post when viewing a topic without loading a new page. You can still use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post. |
